Why Choose Us?

Healthcare is unique—providers often have little control over the rates they can charge for their services. Meanwhile

  • • Reimbursement rates are declining
  • • Corporate costs are rising
  • • Independent practices are increasingly joining hospital-based systems or private equity groups, sacrificing autonomy

Our goal is to help you navigate these challenges and maintain your independence.

The CMS Mandate: Adapting to a New Model

In 2021, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) set a goal by 2030, all Medicare fee-for-service beneficiaries will be linked to a provider accountable for quality and total cost of care. As this transition accelerates:

  • • Providers will face greater risk in payment and incentive models
  • • Practices must adapt to remain financially secure

We guide you through this transition, ensuring your financial stability while helping you achieve additional incentives to strengthen your practice.

Ryan Starrett
Managing Partner & SVP of Operations

Ryan Starrett is the Managing Partner at Performance Health Management, where he works with independent medical practices to improve patient care, streamline workflows, and maximize revenue. His background includes serving as the Practice Administrator at a medium-sized, multi-specialty medical practice, where he led operational improvements, implemented innovative care strategies, and ensured compliance with healthcare benchmarks. He specializes in medical practice management, population health, and using technology to enhance both patient outcomes and practice efficiency.

In addition to his healthcare management experience, he spent over two decades in information technology, optimizing IT systems and managing multiple networks. He also serves as a head swim coach, where he helps student-athletes push their physical and mental limits to succeed in swimming. His career blends healthcare leadership, technology expertise, and coaching, all focused on growth and performance improvement.

“With years of experience in both information technology and coaching, I've learned how to connect data and performance benchmarks to help practices stay independent and thrive. Achieving better results in value-based care not only improves patient health outcomes but also benefits the healthcare system through reduced spending and provides financial incentives for practices. My experience as an administrator has also given me a firsthand understanding of the challenges that come with managing a practice, especially when time is limited. Having someone who understands the role and can step in to offer support is crucial in allowing practices to thoroughly assess all aspects of their operations, maximizing both efficiency and revenue. When it’s all said and done, the patient is the true winner and that’s why we all got into healthcare to begin with.”
